After three intense days of the San Dimas Stage Race, cyclists pounded their pedals, pumped their hearts and dug into their selves to beat the clocks, the competitors and overcome hurdles. Chasing dreams of racing on iconic mountainsides, earthquake rocked dams, and the centrifugal force of tight cornered city streets, this photographer took 6,600 pictures over 28 hours of cycling. It still comes down to a single photo of the Professional Men's Criterium of Stage 3 where Daniel Holloway of Athlete Octane crossed the finish line. Congratulations Daniel. And to Clément Chevrier of USA Bissell Development Team who was the General Classification GC Leader.

Took photos of cyclists on GMR today.
There was a certain happiness to the riders on Glendora Mountain Road today. I must familiarize myself with the camera before the San Dimas Stage Race on Friday. Click on the slideshow to bring up larger size images.

Bill's Saturday Ride
The beautiful weather brought out lots of riders, many of them obviously training for the San Dimas
Stage Race (SDSR). It had been two weeks since I have ridden, so I took it easy today. I stopped at the shed for a while and then rode out on the Glendora Ridge Road to get some pictures of Mt Baldy.
Coming back down GMR, I encountered a rider down at mile marker 11.70. She had be thrown from her bike when her front brakes locked. She was being tended by other riders in her group. I was asked
about the nearest hospital, I replied Foothill Pres. and gave them directions on how to get there because they were transporting her in a private car. I hope that she is ok.

Saturday Ride
I wanted to go to Fork Plus Four and when I got there my legs said just a little bit further. My legs took me to GRR mile marker 8.3 a total of 42.3 mile round trip. I have plenty of work to do to improve my time. It was a superb day to be on the road riding.
