Updated 9:30 pm. The exhilaration of being on the road from 6 am to 5 pm comes from the joy of shooting photos of cyclists pedaling as fast and as hard as they can around a tight 1.25 mile course in downtown San Dimas. This comes with a secondary effect of exhaustion of walking six loops of the race course, combined with the satisfaction of a race well covered with a day's worth of 1,800 photos. A new personal best is the weekend total of 7,300 pictures.
The San Dimas Stage Race is a careful crafting of man and machines. The blurs and swirls of brightly covered kits atop rotating whirls of rubber.
I hope my strategy for the day will aide me in finding a few key pictures, I have noted in my "long term memory" of my iPhone. A few photos are coming, tomorrow. San Dimas Stage Race presented by GMR.bike

San Dimas Stage Race 2015 - Bonelli Road Race
Athletes competed around the seven mile race course completing 4-12 laps. Here are the Women Pros finishing their race.
I shot 1800 photos today. 3,800 photos on Friday. Good times. Now I am looking for my favorite blog fan, Doug. I need a cool program to run a slide show for me.

San Dimas Stage Race - GMR Time Trial
The first day of the San Dimas Stage Race was an individual battle. A personal agony of mind over mountain as cyclists pushed the boundaries of physical performance. The sun burned bright, beating down those who dared the upward thrust of the San Gabriel Foothills. Temperatures soared to the 90s and shade a rare commodity. The muscle mass of 820 athletes on Glendora Mountain Road cranked.

Eight Days - Five Rides
Eight days and five rides. This is the beginning of the cycling season and it felt good tonight. My cycling computer didn't recover after its battery was replaced. I thought the numbers would make you faster. But the lack of data made me faster tonight. Go figure.
