GCN Downhill Challenge on GMR

It's been too long. Secret training half way done

The walk of Shame. Or the ride that wasn't. I had chain failure on GMR below palm drive. I called for road side assistance. Time for the indoor trainer and TDF review.


While I have gotten out for the shorter rides, Marilyn. I have been laid up with intense neck pain on the weekends where I do my soul searching on a bike. Thanks for asking where I have been. Recovering. Watching the final stages of the Tour de France and just not thinking about my body.

Friday Ride

The overhead clouds kept the temperature in the 60-70F range. It felt much cooler than the week before. The vistas were spotted with clouds. I could look around while riding and enjoy the scenery. This is Baldy Trip 4 for me. The weather pattern has been Hot. Cool. Hot. Cool.

Wednesday night ride. I met up with Wayne back from his eight month hiatus. Jason and Ken were also on the road. I had a strong fast ride tonight. Bigger gear.

Three rides over four days of closed road. Time to catch up with Heather and Joan. Pushed a big gear for most of the ride.

July 4th Rides

Glendora Mountain Road was closed to motor vehicles for the July 4th weekend. The biking community flocked to this motorless bit of road.

Duane was back to cycling and racing. His Allstate SAG stop deserved big thanks for the oranges, bananas, water and more.

This mobile ice chest offered chilled water on a hot day.
