Wait. Did you mean open only to bicyclists and foot traffic? Because I just went there and the gate was closed. Ugh. Such a bummer.
The Forest Service Personnel opened the road between 7:30 am and 8:30 am. The gate was open and I drove up GMR on Friday at 8:30 am. What time were you there?
I went right after I read your post. so it was barely 10:30am and it was already closed! Ugh.
